The requirement

Our client's scheduling and room planning had previously been carried out using various spreadsheets and tables. A modern system was needed to cope with increasingly complex requirements and to reduce the workload for the employees responsible.

Our Solution

That is what we have implemented

In addition to semester planning for teaching operations, CHRONOS also supports day-to-day operations and facilitates timetable planning and the allocation of rooms and lecturers, which are now carried out in a digital system. Changes to courses, such as cancellations, postponements, or room changes, can be planned and synchronised with third-party systems. Overlaps, incorrect entries, and deviations from defined ideal specifications are detected and reported as warnings to the responsible parties. The web application composes of a comprehensive role and authorisation system as well as REST interfaces to other systems, including SAP, electronic teaching assignment systems, and campus management systems.
