Johannes Kepler University Linz (JKU) is the largest educational and research institution in Upper Austria. It offers numerous different bachelor's and master's degree programs.

Initial Situation

The requirement

Based on a study conducted by JKU Linz, an online map was to be created that locates European universities, research, and cultural institutions dedicated to combining art and science. The aim is to raise awareness of the topic of art and science and its potential, and to promote networking among those involved in Europe. We were hired by the Vice-Rectorate for Innovation and Researchers at JKU.

Our Solution

That is what we have implemented

We accompanied the client from the initial idea of an online map to the implementation of the web presence and beyond. The existing content was integrated in a modern and functional website and presented in a map to make networking easier for interested parties. In addition, a registration process was implemented so participants from European universities, research, and cultural institutions can enter and maintain content themselves. This allows institutions to present themselves independently within a specified framework and edit their own data. A reviewing process ensures the quality of the data provided. The online platform presents the collected data in a clear manner and enables users to search for specific information using filters, sorting, and search functions.
